- Danny worked every lunch and dinner in the Fish Taco Stand. They were a HIT! Everyone loved them. Here is a picture of Danny hard at work, even with a smile on his face!
- I sold meal cards all week. I was only scheduled for half days but since I was there I decided to stay all day, everyday during the conference. It was fun serving people from so many different countries.
- Ian had a great time as well! We had several friends take Ian on walks and got him moving around a bit when I was super busy selling meal cards. I was so grateful for that. (Danny and I took plenty of walks with him when we had time.) He got to play with his little friends and take naps when he wanted to. Everyone thought he was adorable and admired him. (Of course! Just look at that face!)
- I heard there were 700 people who came to the conference, plus our staff.
- Near the end of the conference, they had an offering to help cover the costs of the conference. After the money people paid for their own fees, there was a deficit of $65,000. Someone committed to matching up to $32,500 of the offering. In the end, including the $32,500, the offering given that day was over $95,000! I don't even know what the total amount was. This just shows how amazing God is!
- On the last day of the conference, we spent some time praying for different countries and people groups. We had a soccer field sized map that we walked on as we prayed. One of our prayer focuses was for China.
- One of the only meetings we were able to take part in was the last session
with Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission. He shared about different ministries starting, opportunities for growth around the world. He also shared about how God is accelerating the rate of completion of translating the Bible into every language/tongue in the world. It was amazing! You can watch that session on this link.
