We've been spending the last few weeks training people how to run the departments we are involved in. It wasn't easy and we're still in the process, but people have stepped up and are taking the challenge of the Kitchen and Finances. This has been a huge blessing for us, and has kept us from having to worry about what is going to happen in these areas. We were able to give it to God instead, and He is taking care of things.
In most of May we will be preparing for our new life in the Dominican Republic. We start out the month with a week long training in Tijuana, learning how to run a very important and impactful ministry: Mission Adventures. This is the program that truly changed my (Danae's) life because of the trips I was involved in starting as a very young teenager. God has used those experiences to shape my passions and bring me to where I am today. Danny and I are excited to be starting this ministry in the Dominican Republic. We can't wait for this time of training as we hear and learn from others who have been serving in this life-changing ministry for years.
We will also be visiting our families, friends and home churches later in May. We don't know what our future will bring and how long it will be until we get to spend time the people who love and encourage us the most, so we are really looking forward to this time. We'll also be going to Danny's younger sister's wedding right before we leave for the Dominican Republic. God is faithful and we are SO thankful that we get to see everyone before we take this next HUGE leap of faith.
We hope to update you again soon with what's going on. These next couple months will be very exciting, challenging, joyful and probably tiring as well. But we are so privileged to be serving our Lord and Savior. Thank you for your continuous prayers and support. You are making a huge difference in the world. We love you!
