Although everything looks fine, we decided that it is best to have our son at the hospital here in the city where he will be monitored by a nurse-midwife. That way, specialists will be able to check his heart the moment after he is born. We also have a pediatrician who will be checking Ian from the time he is born up until he is 2 months old before we leave Washington.
Today we had an appointment with the midwife and they recommend to “induce” labor due to the lateness and also because Danae has lately been suffering from high blood pressure. They want to prevent other complications. The delivery will be as natural as possible, while we are open to the recommendation of the midwives and doctors at the hospital.
Between today and tomorrow, they will be admitting Danae at the hospital and will begin the labor process; which may take between a day or two before Ian is born. For this reason, we ask you for your prayers that Danae and the baby will be strong and healthy for the time of delivery and the whole labor process.
We will keep you updated about what happens in the next couple days. Especially when Ian has arrived!
We hope you had a great Christmas and we wish you a New Year full of blessings.
Danny, Danae & Ian
